Love & Affection and a Touch of Copper with Global Design Project #037 Card with Video

I saw a beautiful card a few days ago by Dawn Woleslagle and was inspired. I used the colours from the Global Design Project #037 Colour Challenge

I started the card with a Whisper White card stock piece slightly smaller than a standard card. I mounted majority of the image stamps from the Love & Affection set onto our Clear Blocks and grabbed the 3 ink colour Tip Top Taupe, Mint Macron and Island Indigo. I stamped the flowers in the corner first and extended and filled in with the other stamps from there. I cleaned each stamp after using it so it was ready for the next colour. Once I was happy with the composition I took the sentiment to make sure it fitted and I didn't need any extra stamping. To ready the area for embossing I ran the Embossing Buddy over the card from to ensure no stray pieces of powder where I don't want them, I stamped the sentiment also from the Love & Affection set in Versamark ink and covered the image in Copper Embossing powder and used our Heat Tool to melt the powder. I added a few more imaged around the sentiment to finish off the card from and mounted it with Stampin' Dimensionals to a Island Indigo Card Base.

Affectionately Yours Specialty Paper with Copper and ThoughtfulBannersand Layered Letters Scrapbook Page

Today I am taking a different tack and hooking into my scrapbooking roots. It's a great way to show you our NEW Affectionately Yours Specialty Paper which has 2 pieces featuring Copper accents and this paper pack has a Crumb Cake colour base which is something different to what we have ever had. Available 1st June 2016.

I started the page with a piece of Kraft card stock. Next I slightly trimmed my photo so it had better proportion. I then took the Affectionately Yours Specialty Paper and made a layered stack using the various patterns and used a piece of the Copper Washi Tape for the matching Affectionately Yours Washi Tape at the top of the photo. This step was not done directly onto the page but stacking under the photo using the Kraft background as a reference. To create the Title I stamped my son's name onto a piece of vellum with Night of Navy and dried it with my Heat Tool. I flagged the end and placed it over the Copper patterned paper. Next I took the Thoughtful Banners stamp and used the solid banner stamp and stamped it in the co-ordination colours ink for the paper - Mint Marcon, Daffodil Delight, Watermelon Wonder and Cucumber Crush onto a piece of scrap Whisper White card stock. I took a number of the words from the same set and stamped them in Night of Navy over the coloured banners. I attached both the title and stamped block to the layered stack tucking it in-between some of the layers to add interest. To add some more shine I took the leaf stamp from the Rose Wonder set and stamped it in Versamark ink above where the title and below the stamping block will be on the Kraft background and covered in Copper Embossing Powder and melted with the Heat Tool. I also ran the Versa Mark ink pad around the the edge of whole page and repeated the same steps. I added some plain stamped leaves in Veramark ink to fill out the background. To finish the scrapbook page I attached the layered paper piece to the Kraft Background.

What Will You Stamp #65 Endless Birthday Wishes Birthday Card

Another great week ahead! The stamp set for this week's What Will You Stamp challenge is Endless Birthday Wishes. I am a Guest Designer this week as I was Winner for THIS CARD a few weeks ago. This weeks set is Endless Birthday Wishes

To make this card I started by stamping the Writing Notes background stamp in Smokey Slate Ink on Whisper White card stock. I then took a number of the sentiments from the Endless Wishes set on the lines in Basic Grey Archival Ink. I also stamped the cupcake from the stamp set in Basic Grey Archival ink on Whisper White card stock. I coloured the cupcake using the Blender Pen to pick up Delightful Dijon, Mint Macron, Tip Top Taupe and Watermelon Wonder Inks. I punched out the cupcake with the 1 3/4" Circle Punch and a 2" circle in Mint Marcon to adhere the Cupcake on. Next I took the small heart Patterned Paper from the Cherry on Top Patterned paper Stack to mat the words and cupcake on. I adhered this piece to a Watermelon Wonder card base that I stamped the dots on in the same colour ink to finish the card.

What will you stamp this week?!

To play along, please create a new project that uses the Stampin' Up! Endless Birthday Wishes Stamp Set and upload it to your online gallery, blog or Instagram feed. Entry deadline is Saturday, May 28th at 5:00 pm PST/8:00 EST.  One lucky winner will be picked at random from all the contributions and announced on Sunday... that winner will get bragging rights and an invitation to join the challenge as our guest designer two weeks later!

Festival of Trees, Layered Letters, Holly Jolly Greetings Christmas Card

My first Christmas Card of the Season and this one makes me Happy. I just love how happy the colours are for a non-traditional christmas card.

I have used some Retiring and already sold our products.  I started by stamping the trees from Festival of Trees (sold out) in Old Olive, Daffodil Delight, Real Red, Bermuda Bay and Rich Razzleberry Ink onto the matching card stock. You could substitute the tree stamp for any patterned stamp. I punched out the trees with the Tree Punch which on on the Retirement List. To create the greeting I used the Layered Letters set and stamped the solid rectangle in all the same and stamped the MERRY letters in Basic Black Archival ink on Whisper White card stock.  I took the Christmas stop from the Holly Jolly Greeting stamp set  and also stamped it with Basic Black Archival ink and Whisper White card stock and hand cut all the pieces out and attached them to the bottom of a Thick Whisper White card front with Stampin' Dimensionals. I tucked the Christmas Trees in behind the Merry in a mixture of flat and dimensional. As a Finishing touch I punched a small star from the now sold out Itty Bitty Accents Punch Pack in Rich Razzleberry and added clear Wink of Stellar.

World Traveller, Going Places and Large Number Framelts Card with GDP #034

This the second card I have been asked to make for a Blind volunteers at my Husband's work. Once again I have concentrated on texture to enhance the card. I have used this weeks Global Design Project Sketch Challenge #034 for the layout of this card.

To start the card I embossed a piece of Lost Lagoon card stock with the World Traveller embossing folder on the Big Shot. Whilst I had the Big Shot I also cut the numbers out using the Large Number Frameits with Mossy Meadow Paper and using the Project Life Cards and Labels Framelits I cut a piece of the Going Places Paper. Next I took my Whisper White Ink and Stampin' Sponge and sponged the central area of the Lost Lagoon embossed piece. I then adhered the Going Places die cut piece to the card. I took the numbers and adhered them to the card using double dimentionals so the recipient can feel around the numbers. I adhered the card front to a Thick Whisper White card base. As the two finishing touches for this card I added some silver sequins with Glue Dots and Fine Tip Glue Pen to the surface of the numbers to make them smooth to the touch, both of these add great texture to the card.

To order any of the products I have used on this project and more simply go to my SHOP NOW button above to go to my Online store or contact me to place an order. Some of the Products I have used on this card are retiring so are ONLY available while stocks last.

Flower Patch with Flower Fair and Large Number Framelits WWYS #62

I have been commissioned to make some very special anniversary cards for Volunteers at my husband work Vision Australia. This card was made for a lovely lady Judy who I actually used to work with for 15 years service. I have used the What Will You Stamp #62 Challenge Blog as a starter for the card by using the Flower Patch stamp set.

As Judy is partially sighted I have played with texture, dimension and colour contrast on this card. I started with choosing the Brights Collection of Colours. Next I die cut all the flower and leaf shapes from the Flower Fair Framelits in Very Vanilla card stock and stamped them with Old Olive, Pumpkin Pie, Daffodil Delight, Melon Mambo and Bermuda Inks using the matching Flower Patch stamp set. I arranged the flowers and leaves into a Rich Razzleberry card stock piece embossed with the Softly Falling embossing folder both flat and on Stampin' Dimensionals. I created the numbers by using the Large Number Framelit to cut "15" from our Dazzling Diamonds Glimmer Paper (which is rough) and adhered using double layered Dimensionals so they can more easily be felt. The card from was adhered to a Thick Whisper White card base. To finish the card I added Fine tip Glue pen to the leaves to add shine and a smooth texture.

If you would like to see some of how I made this card and some chat with friends. Please head over to Periscope to have a look. For those who don't have Periscope you can download the app to you mobile to tablet.

We Stamp for Lara - Number of Years Project Tutorial Fundraiser

Please join me in raising funds to help a lovely girl and her family.

Here is a little look at my project which went LIVE Today

Lara has Cerebral Palsy and also has Microcephaly, Epilepsy and a Vision Impairment. Her parents get up every night to physically move her so she does not get bed sores. They are in need of a self inflatable mattress. This mattress inflates and deflates so it moves her during the night.

We Stamp For Lara is 15 stamping tutorials over 15 days fro Stampin' Up! Demonstrator's (including ME!) for $15

Payment made by Direct Deposit or PayPal. Contact me via a pm for transfer details. Once done and we will add you to the FB group where you will be able to access the tutorials.

We Truely Appreciate your Help if you have Stampin Friends please feel free to share this post

Here is Lara's Story -
Lara was born on the 5th of November 2008. The fourth child of Mark and Madonna. She was different to her siblings. She looked different…she had twisted feet….she didn’t cry like the other babies. She didn’t move like them either. However, after a week in the nicu we were released to go home, with a paediatrician’s words ringing in our heads “She may or may not be normal, depending of if she does or does not reach developmental milestones.” She was given a diagnosis of Cerebral palsy at 5 months during a hospital stint to correct a floppy voicebox. During that stay she was also put on naso-gastric feeding (a tube down the nose and into her tummy). By one she had started having seizures and had a number of other “foibles”.
Over the last seven and a bit years Lara has had many hospital stays with a number of illnesses. She has been diagnosed as having a “life-limited” condition. We do not know what that means. We do know that she is unable to talk or walk. She cannot communicate via traditional words or even gestures as her ability to control her limbs is very limited. What she does do is convey her love through her eyes. She verbalises some sounds and is very quick to moan and whinge if she wants to be moved or has a full nappy!

Lara has a plethora of drugs each day to keep her seizure activity stable. This is mostly successful but a simple cold can be enough to put us in hospital for a little visit due to her compromised immunity and poor lung function. She needs to be moved into different positions to help her manage her secretions and to prevent pressure areas.

One of the items we are looking at fundraising for over the next few months is a better pressure mattress for Lara’s bed. She has a hospital bed that we are able to manoeuvre into various positions for her (tilt, height etc) but the mattress is very simple and we use an egg shell topper at the moment to assist in the pressure management. We (actually, Mark..mostly) move her from side to side during the night to alleviate the risk of pressure areas. An appropriate mattress can help with those risks.

We are so grateful to all of you for always being willing to put your hands up to help us to Help Lara. She is a delight and a blessing. If you have ever gazed into the depths of her gorgeous blue eyes you would understand she is a special little person in more ways than just her diagnoses.

Thanks for you support
